Results of Geological Ground Investigations Announced

Softrock Minerals Ltd. is pleased to announce results of geological ground investigations conducted in 1997 at Kutseq and Sorte Nunatak, both within the Corporations Lindenow Licence in southeast Greenland. The property is known to be situated on a favourable NE trending gold corridor with three known gold occurences. Previous surveys located gold mineralized boulders with up to 9 ppm gold and 4% copper.

Kutseq: The main zone of mineralization carries up to 7 ppm gold over 1.0 meters. The investigated mineralized sequence has limited exposure over a distance of at least 425 meters plus a possible extension of at least 275 meters. Much higher grades can easily occur in the non-exposed sequence.

The occurence here of arsenopyrite together with gold is good from a geophysical point of view because it then may be possible to detect covered mineralization by EM. The recommendation is to have an early ground geophysical program in the area in order to identify the best drilling targets for a late summer season drilling.

Sorte Nunatak: This reconnaissance clearly demonstrates that Sorte Nunatak is highly prospective. More than 20% of the collected rock samples are highly gold anomalous (>100 ppb). Collected in situ, the highest "ore" grade sample (>1 ppm) carried 16.7 ppm Au.
