Softrock Minerals Ltd. (SFT on TSX Venture Exchange) announces it has logged, and run production casing to test two oil and gas zones encountered in a 30% working interest test well it drilled over the weekend with the Silver Strand Corporation in the southwest quarter of Section 5, Township 45, Range 27 West of the third meridian in western Saskatchewan (Ssec Marsden D-4-5).

The lower zone (Lloydminster) is new in the immediate area, but the upper zone (Sparky), produces from another 30% company well completed last Fall about one-third of a mile southwest in Section 31 (Ssec Manito A 9-31). Tanks and completion equipment are presently being moved into the site.
