Softrock Minerals Ltd (SFT on the TSV Venture Exchange) announces that the well it announced its forty percent to earn thirty percent participation in June 04, 2005 in north-west Saskatchewan with the Silver Strand Energy Corporation and others has completed drilling and has set production casing prior to further testing.

The well is a 631 meter test of the Cretaceous Sparky heavy oil sand and is located in lsd 9, sec 31, twp 44, rge 27 W3 mer.

The well is a 625 meter test of the Sparky heavy oil sand and lies one-half mile west of Sparky production in Section 32 adjoining.

It is expected that it will take approximately one month to determine the quality and stability of the expected production.
